After laying out all my ingredients to make Stan Frankenthaler's apricot/nut/oatmeal chewy cookies, I got a request for a walk. On this sparkling, brilliant, bracing day, how could I refuse? It was nice knowing that everything was lined up for my return and all I had to do was mix and refrigerate.
